We want to make everyone aware that a phishing/scam email is currently circulating that appears to contain an Evite-style party invitation. The email subject line is: “SAVE THE DATE: A SPECIAL INVITATION,” and the message references “Punchbowl” and includes language inviting recipients to click a link to view and RSVP to a “special party invitation.” This email is not legitimate and was not sent by St. John’s, nor is it for a real event.
As a reminder, please use caution with unexpected emails, especially those containing links or attachments. Before clicking, always confirm that the sender and web address are legitimate. If you ever have doubts about whether an email is authentic, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the supposed sender through a separate email or another trusted method before opening links or attachments.
