Worship

Worship is the heart of life at St. John’s Episcopal Church. Each Sunday we gather to pray, hear scripture, sing together, and celebrate the Holy Eucharist. Our worship follows the liturgy of the Book of Common Prayer and draws on the rich traditions of the Episcopal Church while welcoming people from every background.

Whether you are exploring church for the first time, returning after time away, or looking for a spiritual home, you are welcome to join us.

Sunday Worship

Holy Eucharist — Sundays at 11:00 AM

Our principal service each week includes scripture readings, sermon, prayer, music, and Holy Communion.

Children’s Church

Children are always welcome in the main service. We also offer Children’s Church during the 11:00 AM service for those who prefer a worship experience designed especially for younger participants.

Music in Worship

Music is an important part of our worship life at St. John’s. Our choir and music staff lead the congregation in hymns, service music, and seasonal choral offerings that reflect the rhythm of the church year.

Throughout the year the choir prepares special music for feast days and liturgical seasons. The weekly newsletter often includes previews of upcoming music selections and recordings from our choir director.
