Growing Up Together: What to expect in the change from childhood to pre-teen years

September 28 @ 6:00 pm7:30 pm

Is your child changing in new ways–physically, emotionally, or socially? These changes can happen early and bring big growth, feelings, and questions. Join professors and graduate students from WCU for a supportive workshop just for parents/caregivers of elementary school children.

You’ll learn…

  • What physical & emotional changes are typical for pre-teens
  • Why mood shifts & independence are normal
  • Simple ways to start open, age-appropriate conversations
  • Strategies to help your child feel confident, safe, & understood.

Our goal is clear, practical guidance you can use at home. We look forward to partnering with you to support your child’s growth.

Childcare and a pizza dinner will be available in a separate area. Focused on younger grades (K-5) but helpful for all families.
Door prizes will be offered!
