Code Purple Planning Meeting II

At our February gathering, we discussed the need for a more stable and coordinated community response during Code Purple activations in Jackson County.

In preparation for this meeting, a small group will draft a proposed “elevator pitch” for a collaborative network of faith congregations and nonprofit organizations. The purpose of this gathering is to review and refine that shared vision, then focus on clear next steps.

Together, we will:

• Clarify the purpose and structure of a collaborative Code Purple network
• Outline how we will approach potential community partners
• Begin mapping out actionable steps toward implementation

Code Purple is activated during dangerous winter weather and is locally coordinated by HERE in Jackson County and Code Red. Our goal is to strengthen and support the current system through broader community collaboration.

You do not need to have attended the previous meeting to participate. All who care about ensuring our neighbors are warm and safe are welcome.
