Andrew Hansen\, Associate Professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Western Carolina University\, as he shares his experiences and expertise related to barriers to housing in Sylva and Jackson County. \nDr. Hansen is joining us as a speaker through St. John’s Shelter from the Storm grant. This discussion offers an opportunity to listen\, learn\, and consider together the challenges people face in accessing stable housing in our community. \nWhen: Sunday\, August 16 • 9:30–10:30 AM\nWhere: St. John’s Episcopal Church\, Choir Room\nIf there is significant interest\, we will move to the Parish Hall. \nAll are welcome. Teachers\, school staff\, faculty\, homeschool families\, and everyone involved in education are warmly invited to participate as well. \nWhether you’re heading to preschool\, elementary school\, middle school\, high school\, Southwestern Community College\, Western Carolina University\, a homeschool classroom\, or another year of teaching or serving\, we invite you to begin the school year surrounded by prayer and worship. \nAll are welcome.
